Exercise BRILLIANT ARDENT 10 (BAT 10), was planned as a large scale Air Force exercise hosted by Germany and directed by the Commander of the Allied Air Command Izmir in the tradition of the Clean Hunter, Brilliant Arrow (2006), Noble Award (2007) and Bold Avenger (2009) exercises. Air Forces from 7 NATO members were participating in this NATO Response Force (NRF) Exercise from 12 to 22 April 2010.

This was the plan but in the face of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano eruptions at Iceland, the majority of international and national flights had been suspended or cancelled from 14.04.2010 on . . .
